Bad blogger

I have been a bad blogger lately. I hope everyone had a great holiday.

This is the "coal" Caylea put in Jazzie's stocking.

This is the magic tree, it is a tree this guy puts lights all over, it really is cool and very very bright.
Can't imagine the electric bill...

Caylea playing her new Wii Sing it game.

Some of the dog gifts, notice Jazzie's nose sticking out on the right...that would be Magnus's new pillow she is taking over while her new pillow sits empty. She wants whatever Magnus has. See why she got coal in her stocking?

What happens when Caylea somehow gets my camera without me knowing...doll pictures.

I figured out how to do videos...this one is a little peak of the nightly routine with Jazzie, she digs endlessly trying to get whatever it is she thinks is under the blanket. Cracks me up every time. It is kinda hard to see since it is darker. Magnus is sleeping in the background, he is used to this digging.

Oh.Yeah.

Got Nickelback tix yesterday. concert isn't until April, but their new album rocks!
So Jason and I went to Kansas City for the night yesterday. Did a little shopping and hung out. We were just about to turn around and head back to the hotel since we had been shopping all day when I spotted this....
This is what Jason was doing while I spent the next half hour shopping in the scrapbook store. :)

We hit the Plaza for awhile, which was a little bit more upscale shopping area so we didn't spend too much time there. But I happened to remember I had a gift card for Tiffany's I hadn't used yet....so I got a ring to match the bracelet Jason got me and the necklace I got for my SF anniversary gift. So this was a fun purchase!

Vacation pics

Well it was quite a shock to my system to come back home from vacation to 24 degrees, especially since I had flip flops on! We had a great time on the cruise, here are a few pics. At one point someone on the cruise reported seeing someone or something go overboard, so the boat did a sharp turn and did figure eights in the water for 2 hours until it was confirmed everyone was on board. It turned out to be a stuffed monkey. I'm surprised nobody did fall overboard when the boat made the sharp turn it did, Lisa and I were inside looking at photos to buy and had to brace ourselves not to go sliding on the floor. We met a lot of fun people on the trip. We had really good weather every day, the day we left it was a little rainy and it was a little rainy in the morning in Key West, but other than that the weather was great.

Beach in Jamaica
Our waiter, Ivan. He brought us a lot of good food.

At the turtle farm in Grand Cayman, this was pretty cool, although the turtle does not look to happy to be posing for pics huh? We didn't get to do Stingray City in Grand Cayman due to rough waters, so we were a little sad about that. We went to Hell, which is a big tourist trap, and then the turtle farm and had lunch at Margaritaville.
Sunset

Lisa and I in Key West, my camera didn't take this one well but the water in the background is crystal clear. Key West was a lot of fun, we walked around a lot in the morning and then did a train tour of the island in the afternoon. It was my favorite place on the trip. Neat little streets and homes and of course we had to try Key Lime pie in Key West! Oh and it didn't hurt we ran into a Coach outlet store there either! : )

Some ladies we met on the trip, they were a lot of fun. They were with a group of 500 people, and it was one of their ladies who had the stuffed monkey that fell overboard. Apparently the monkey goes on all the cruises with them and has been on 35 cruises. They were pretty sad to lose their monkey.

Jamaica

The other two girls at our dinner table, they were hilarious.

This was in Ft. Lauderdale the day before we left. We spent the day at the Galleria and did a little shopping and then walked around the beach and shops on the beach for awhile. Ft. Lauderdale was really pretty, wouldn't want to be there around Spring break time though.

Dunns River Falls in Jamaica. They were beautiful. I found out the Ocho Rios side of Jamaica is just like the Negril side, the people are SO pushy, they were really annoying. So it's beautiful there but Lisa and I both agree we don't need to go to Jamaica again.

The first day on the boat we had to do a drill so we would know where to go for our emergency boats. Don't we just look cute in our lifejackets?

The rest of our dinner table, it was a fun group, we had a great time at dinner.

Seems like the majority of our pictures came from dinner!

Dinner, again.
The boat
Me on the boat, I'm really glad I wasn't up here on the deck when the boat made the sharp turn. We heard that everyone that was on top freaked out. I don't blame them. It definitely felt like the boat would tip over. I have a ton more photos but I'll stop with these for now. I'm off to unpack!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! First year cooking a turkey was a success! It turned out great and all the food was really good.

We put up the tree on Wed. night since I'll be gone tomorrow when we usually put it up.

Jazzmine was afraid of the tree for about an hour and finally got brave enough to get somewhat close to it.
Had to go see Transporter 3 on Wed. It was pretty cheesy and totally unrealistic but good action. Next post I make will be pictures of the Caribbean!

Finally

After trying multiple Chinese places here in Columbia, finally found one that is really good! It's in Fulton, which is about 30 mins. away, but it was worth the drive!

I finally started packing for my trip. And discovered I have 2 pairs of shorts that fit. Kinda hard to find shorts anywhere in the mall right now. Maybe when we get to Florida I'll find some.
We're attempting to make a turkey for the first time this year...so cross your fingers the house remains standing. I'll be driving to Bloomington on Friday to fly out on Friday night. So I will miss the yummy leftovers but I think I'll be ok. Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Nice weekend

This weekend was nice....Friday night went to see James Bond. Not as good as Casino Royale but still good. Then Saturday Steve and Deb came down to see us. It was really great to see them!

Steve and Deb got to meet Jazzie and see all her energy in person.

Magnus was super excited to have company too!

Counting down the days...

Till I'm here....on vacation with Lisa....20 days....can't wait.

Where I can't wait to bask in the sun....

I finally got to do some scrapbooking today! This is my new scrapbooking toy....Nicole and Lisa will appreciate this. : )

My other new toy. Love it.

And another addition to my scrapbook room to make it complete, my cool new shelf. Jason did an awesome job hanging it up and getting it perfect the first try!

November already?

Can't believe it is November already! Hope everyone had a good Halloween. I finally broke down and bought a laptop so I can get online while Jason spends his hours playing Wow upstairs on the computer. So tonight I've been playing with it all night, Jason's been playing Guitar Hero 4 all night. I'm currently counting down days until my cruise with Lisa. Can't wait for a vacation!

Caylea was a witch this year, she's never been one yet before this year.

Jazzie's new favorite spot to lay, the back of the couch. She really likes it when the sun is coming in like in this pic.

When I like Jazzie best, when she is calm!
