The Happy Hour...and the hat.

Here's a few pics from the happy hour on Friday night. And Cliff's hat made its way around the group. Thanks to everyone for coming out, it was a great time! There are some good stories that came out of that happy hour.

House for sale

Anyone know someone looking for a starter home? Our house should be on the market tomorrow. Our realtor seems to think we'll get a few interested buyers. Here's hoping she is right and we have some luck!

Growing up...

Caylea went to her first boy/girl birthday party last weekend. This is Zach, the birthday boy who is a great kid. When I saw this picture suddenly all those high school dance pictures under an archway started flashing through my head. I'm so not ready for that! While Jason and I were in Columbia Lisa and Caylea went out to dinner with Zach and his mom. Sounds like they had a good time!

Here are some pictures of the new house! The house is on the end of a cul-de-sac. The house is new construction but has been on the market for awhile. We had the inspection on Sat. morning and it came back great. Just a few things to touch up before we move in. It's a 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath. It has a room downstairs that could be a formal dining room but I've claimed it as my scrapbook room! Jason gets a nook upstairs that he can put a computer desk in. Caylea will be on the 2nd floor and loves having it all to herself and her own bathroom. We really liked the paint color, tile, floor plan, location, lots of storage, big utility room, and walk in closets. And oh yeah, no basement!

Quick update from Columbia...

We signed the contract for a house this morning! After looking at a few houses on Monday and a ton of houses on Tuesday we both agreed that we wanted the 2nd house we looked at. It is new construction and we are very happy that the builder was willing to work with us and what we wanted. Because there really wasn't a house we liked nearly as much. Searching for a house is much more fun than trying to sell a house! But it has been a very hectic week. Pics to come soon....

Tired

So this picture pretty much captures how we're feeling with everything going on. Tired! But things are moving along and we're off to Columbia on Sunday.

Busy busy!

Whew! Well, here we go! The relocation process started a week ago and already we have had a flurry of activities. There has been several hours of paperwork (mostly reading), and we've had an appraiser, a realtor and a terminate inspector take a look at the house. So far everything is checking out OK. We leave to go look at houses in Columbia on March 10. More to come...
